Marcus Bartenstein new CEO at Empira
Zug (Switzerland), 20 November 2020 - Marcus Bartenstein will be the new CEO of Empira AG, a leading investment and asset manager in the DACH countries, with effect from 01.01.2021. "In Marcus Bartenstein we are acquiring a proven expert for the investment and transaction market. As a result we will push ahead further with the strong growth we have posted in recent years," says Lahcen Knapp, the founder and supervisory board member at Empira Gruppe. Bartenstein will head the company together with Michael Schmidt, the COO of Empira AG.
New management level
"We are establishing a new, strong management level which will greatly enhance our capabilities," explains Knapp. Thus, the positions of CIO and CFO are to be filled in the coming months.
Marcus Bartenstein looks back on more than 20 years' experience in senior functions in the real estate industry. Most recently he was the Co-CEO for the operations of the Covivio Group in Germany. Prior to this Bartenstein was the Director of Investments and Development within the Group as well as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Before joining Covivio, he was employed as Head of Acquisitions and Investments at LBBW Immobilien from 2000 to 2006.
